Application

  • How do I apply for a job at Baloise?

We offer you two online application options:

    Direct application

Have you seen an interesting position advertised on our online vacancies board? Apply directly by clicking on “Apply online” in the job advertisement.

    Speculative application

Is the job you are looking for not currently advertised? Send us your speculative application online by registering yourself in our Baloise Talent Pool. We will send you an email as soon as a suitable vacancy is advertised.

  • Can I apply by post or via email?

Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications sent by post or via email.  Please apply online via our Baloise Talent Pool.

The online application process offers you the following benefits:

    • Your application details are registered in the system, so you can also use them for other vacancies within the Baloise Group.
    • You can update your application at any time and submit additional documents.
    • If requested, we will notify you via email of suitable career opportunities in the Baloise Group.
    • If you submit a speculative application to the Baloise Group, we can identify you more quickly as a potential candidate when new vacancies arise.
  • How do I create my profile in the Baloise Talent Pool?

You create your profile by registering yourself in the Baloise Talent Pool. This is equivalent to a speculative application.

If requested, you will be sent an automatic email by the system whenever a vacancy matching your profile is advertised. To enable this, please activate the “Automatic notification of vacancies” check box under “Job preferences”. You can then apply directly for the newly advertised position. This way, you won’t have to re-enter your details.

  • Can I upload additional attachments, such as my CV or my references, with my online application?

Yes, in fact we would like you to do that. Simply add your documents in the “Cover letter and attachments” section in the Baloise Talent Pool. Up to five attachments can be uploaded together with each application.

    We recommend that you:

    • Use Word (.doc, .docx), PDF, JPG or ZIP format files.
    • Make sure the size of the individual attachments does not exceed 2.5 MB.
    • Split large documents into several smaller files.
    • Give each attachment a suitable name, such as “CV”, “Work references”, “High school diploma”, etc.
  • I have forgotten my username and/or password. What should I do?

Have you forgotten your password? Please click on the “Forgotten password?” button in the user login area. We will then send you an email with your new login details.

Have you forgotten your username? Please click on “Forgotten username?” and enter the email address that you have registered with us. The system will then display your username.

If you still encounter problems with accessing the system, please send an email to hr@baloise.com. We will then contact you.

  • I would like to withdraw my application. How can I do that?

You can withdraw your application via your personal user profile at any time.

    • Open “My job page”.
    • All the positions you have applied for are listed under “My applications”.
    • There is a “Withdraw” button next to each application or draft application. You can use this button to withdraw your application for the particular advertised position.
  • Where is my data stored?

The data is stored in a data centre operated by our partner “Taleo” within the European Union (EU).  Personal data is collected, processed and used in accordance with the requirements of the European Data Protection Directive, and is not disclosed to third parties.

    Privacy statement

  • Who will notify me of job vacancies at what point?

If requested, you will receive an automatic email as soon as we advertise a vacancy that fits your profile. To enable this, please activate the “Automatic notification of vacancies” check box under “Job preferences”.

In your account options, you can (de)activate these notifications, amend your preferences with regard to preferred areas of work and locations, and update your email address at any time.

When choosing your email address, please remember to take into account possible periods of absence and/or ensure you have access to your business email.

  • How can I access my data in order to update or delete it?

You can access your own data at any time in order to amend, update or delete it.

If you want to delete all of your data, please open your profile and activate the deletion of your data.

Your deletion request will be processed within one week.  You will not be notified about the deletion because your data, including your contact details, will have been completely deleted.

Please note that other data retention policies may apply in the case of a recently submitted application due to legal requirements.  In such a case, the deletion of your data may take up to four months to complete, from the date of the most recent update.

  • I have a question about my application that has not been answered here. Whom should I contact?

Our contact page lists the relevant people who can be contacted.
