Basel, The Board of Directors of Bâloise Holding Ltd will propose to the Annual General Meeting being held on 2 May this year that Karin Keller-Sutter be elected to the Board of Directors. She will replace Hansjörg Frei who, owing to his age, is stepping down from the board.

"We are delighted to be able to propose to the AGM that Karin Keller-Sutter – one of the most high-profile politicians in Switzerland – be elected to the Board of Directors of Bâloise Holding Ltd", commented Andreas Burckhardt, Chairman of the Board of Directors, on this nomination.

Karin Keller-Sutter (49) is a Swiss national and lives with her husband in Wil in the canton of St. Gallen. In addition to the political functions that she performs, Karin Keller-Sutter sits on the boards of directors at the NZZ media group and Pensimo Fondsleitung AG. She is an executive director of the Swiss Retail Federation, a member of the Executive Committee of the Swiss Employers' Federation, and Vice-Chairwoman of the St. Gallen Foundation for International Studies.
