With the launch of the ‘Baloise Swiss Property Fund’, Baloise successfully placed an issue volume of CHF 275 million. Investors in the fund include, among others, pension funds, banks, asset managers and family offices. This offering represents an important milestone in implementing Baloise Asset Management’s strategy for its third-party business. The Baloise Swiss Property Fund offers investors the opportunity to participate in the development of a growing real estate portfolio with a focus on residential properties and high-quality locations.
The Swiss Property Fund is aimed exclusively at qualified investors. The property fund was fully paid up on 1 October 2018 and is fully invested, as it was set up with a broadly diversified initial portfolio of 35 properties from Baloise’s existing real estate portfolio. The selection of properties reflects the real estate portfolio of Baloise in Switzerland. “This allows the fund to offer an investment opportunity that generates a return from day one, while minimising the risks at the same time with a broadly diversified portfolio,” says Dieter Kräuchi, CEO of Baloise Real Estate Management Ltd.
